LCCC Offers Small Business Job Training Courses offering certification and training for businesses or professionals.

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) will offer certification and training for businesses or professionals in the following areas. All classes are held remotely unless noted otherwise.

Brand Your Own Business (BYOB) classes provide training for entrepreneurs who want to learn how to create a strong brand through the use of up- to-date media and strong business practices, allowing them to better manage their company. Each class is held on Thursdays from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at a cost of $62 each. The following topics will still be offered this semester.

  • March 18 – Build Your Brand: Getting the Word Out with 21st Century Marketing
  • April 15 – Resource Management
  • May 13 – Networking

Learn Six Sigma Green Belt will be held from March 25 through June 10, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursdays. Using the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) method, students will learn how to find the root cause of problems and streamlining processes in an organization using Green Belt. Cost of this class is $538.

Start Your Business runs on Tuesdays, April 6 through June 22, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Entrepreneurs will gain valuable information on developing an idea into reality, market research and market strategy, as well as understanding finances. Class fee, which includes scholarship, is $110.

QuickBooks offers small businesses training on managing revenues and expenses, working with payroll and bank accounts, monitoring budgets and inventory with reports and graphs and much more. Class will be held at LCCC’s Schnecksville campus on Fridays, April 9 through May 21, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., for a fee of $367.

Learn to represent taxpayers in examination, collection and the appeals process of the IRS while understanding the rules and penalties, legal authority and interest abatement. Enrolled Agent – Part III will be held on Wednesdays, May 5-26, from 6-9 p.m., at LCCC’s Schnecksville campus. Cost is $599; exam voucher not included.

Please make note that smaller classes and live remote options may be available due to the guidelines put in place for COVID-19, and participants will be contacted via email or phone.
