LCCC Offers Small Business Job Training for Spring 2018

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) will offer certification and training for businesses or professionals in the following areas.

• Branding Your Own Business Series offers classes at LCCC Allentown on March 8, April 12 and May 10, each from 6:30 to 9 p.m., for a fee of $44 per session.
• Learn to develop ideas, file for a patent and capitalize on an invention by leasing your patent rights for royalties. Patent Your Invention is offered on Wednesday, March 14, from 7 to 10 p.m. at main campus. Fee is $78.
• QuickBooks offers small businesses training on managing revenues and expenses, working with payroll and bank accounts, and monitoring budgets and inventory with reports and graphs. Class begins Friday, April 6 through May 11, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at LCCC’s main campus. Cost is $278.
• Fundamental Payroll Certification teaches core payroll concepts, compliance regulations and reporting, principles of paycheck calculations, payroll processing, payroll systems and manual accounting skills, as well as benefits and taxation. Class will be held Tuesday and Thursday, May 22 through June 28, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at LCCC Allentown. Cost is $756; text is additional.
• Learn computerized bookkeeping and accounting with QuickBooks software with the Computerized Bookkeeping Certificate being offered March 12 through May 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at LCCC Allentown. Fee is $884; text is additional.
• Grant Writing Boot Camp teaches how to research and develop key grant proposals. Class will be held at LCCC Allentown on March 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for a fee of $212.
