Man, 71, Hit and Killed by Car

The Lehigh County Coroner said James M. White, 71, of Slatington was killed around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday when he was walking on Mountain Road in Washington Township and was hit by a car.

White died of multiple traumatic injuries and his death was ruled an accident.

The Morning Call reports that a woman from Kempton was driving the car that struck White. There's no word yet on whether charges will be filed. State police from the Bethlehem barracks are investigating.
