Parkland Schedules Make-Up Day for Tuesday, Nov. 6
Originally scheduled as a professional development day, Tuesday, Nov. 6, will now be a make-up day for students.
Parkland School District announced Friday that students are expected to attend school on Tuesday, Nov. 6. Election Day was originally scheduled as a professional development day for teachers, and students were able to take the day off.
For those who are looking to blame someone for the lost vacation day - blame Hurricane Sandy. Parkland missed Monday-Thursday last week due to loss of power and started two-hours late Friday.
