Parkland and St. Joseph the Worker Schools on 2-Hour Delay Thursday
The effects of an unexpected "snow squall" cause Parkland School District to implement two-hour delayed opening for Thursday, Dec. 12.

The impact of what the National Weather Service is calling a "snow squall" has caused Parkland School District and St. Joseph the Worker School to call for a two-hour delayed opening Thursday.
Parkland's kindergarten is on a modified schedule.
According to a special weather statement by the National Weather Service at 4:45 a.m., the snow squall could bring a "burst of snow and greatly reduced visibilities."Â
For the remainder of the day forecasters are calling for mostly sunny skies, with a high near 27.
