State Police Arrest Woman for Stealing Checkbook, Writing Fraudulent Checks

Pennsylvania State Police arrested a woman for stealing another woman's checkbook.

 

Pennsylvania State Police report they arrested Cindy Lou Raine, 47, of Allentown on Nov. 27 for stealing a checkbook from Marie Hattie Brunner of 3690 Coffeetown Rd and writing fraudulent checks.

The checkbook was reportedly stolen in May of 2011 and for 18 months police said Raine wrote checks to pay bills, totalling $9,608, without authorization.

Raine is charged with theft and forgery.
