State Police Report Burglaries, Fraud and Thefts

Pennsylvania State Police report various crimes in North Whitehall Township.

  • Between Dec. 19-21 police report someone stole a Christmas wreath, lawn chairs and lawn mower from an open garage at 2231 Donovan Ct.
  • Between Dec. 19 - 20 police report a large bag of hand tools were stolen from inside a truck at 4466 Shankweiler Rd., front driveway.
  • Between Dec. 8 - 9 police report an unknown person charged $260 on facebook.com with a debit card that was stolen from a resident at 4100 block Sand Spring Rd.
  • On Dec. 3 police report an unknown person, possibly residing in Jamica, told a woman who lives on Old Post Road she won $500,000 and convinced her to send $400 on pre-paid cash cards. After providing the pin number for the $400 she became suspicious. The person called again requesting an additional $200 which the victim refused to do.
  • On Jan. 2 at 2 p.m. police say a student at Lehigh Carbon Community College was found with a CO2 BB gun. Charges were filed with Lehigh County Juvenile Court.
  • On Jan. 8 between 6:30 a.m. and 4:55 p.m. a resident at 3116 Route 309 returned home to find the rear window shattered. Police arrived on the scene to determine the home had been burglarized. A late 90s dark-colored, two-door convertible with a tan top was seen fleeing the area.
  • On Jan. 2 between 2:30 and 9 a.m. a resident at 1065 Birch St. awoke to find numerous items gone from the residence. Some of the items taken include a Wii, Wii games, digital camera and a cell phone.
  • On Dec. 21 at 12:30 a.m. police report someone tried to illegally use the dumpster at Living Things, 5350 Route 873.
  • Between Oct. 31 and Dec. 3 an unknown person attempted to open various credit card accounts at Toys R Us, Barclaycard Bank, Radio Shack and Kay Jewelers using the identity of a person residing at 4617 Kernsville Rd.
  • Between Nov. 17 and 21 police report an unknown person entered a home at 5217 Timber Lane through unlocked Bilco doors. The person stole various electronic equipment, DVD movies and video games totalling $3,551.97. The thief fled in an unknown direction.
  • Between Nov. 8 and 9 sometime between 10 p.m. and 6 p.m. police report someone entered the basement apartment at 4518 Ferrizzi Dr. and stole several X-Box games and a gaming system worth $1,300.
