Strawberry Acres Hearing, Laurys Station Community Day This Week in North Whitehall

Senior Activity Day and Emergency Preparedness Day will also be held this week in and around North Whitehall.

Here's what's happening this week in and around North Whitehall Township.

  • The North Whitehall Township Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing for the conditional use application for Strawberry Farms at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Schnecksville Fire Co. 

  • The Parkland School Board will hold a 7 p.m. workshop and 8 p.m. agenda meeting Tuesday at the administration building, 1210 Springhouse Road, South Whitehall

  • The annual Senior Activity Day will be held Thursday at the Schnecksville Fire Company pavilion. Lehigh Valley Hospital will be giving free flu shots to the public.

  • The annual Laurys Station Community Day will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Laurys Station Fire House park.
  • St. Joseph the Worker Church will hold a family bike ride to raise money for a Haitian medical mission from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday at the Ironton Rail Trail in Whitehall.  
  • Fires, tornados, flooding, winter storms. Do you have an emergency plan? Learn how to be better prepared if disaster strikes by joining local first responders at the fifth annual Emergency Preparedness Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke's West End Medical Center, 501 Cetronia Road, South Whitehall. Residents will have a chance to learn from local police, fire and emergency medical workers at the day-long event which is sponsored by North Whitehall, South Whitehall and Upper Macungie townships.
  • The Parkland Community Library's Book Quest group will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday to discuss "Turn of Mind," by Alice LaPlante. New members are always welcome. The library is located at 4422 Walbert Ave. in South Whitehall.
  • A Parent Forum Meeting will be held at Parkland High School at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Room C220.
  • Orefield Middle School will hold a school dance from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.
  • The Parkland High School football team will hit the road to Bethlehem to take on Liberty High School at 7 p.m. Friday
