'Christmas in Nazareth,' 'Night of Lights' to be Held Dec. 15

Christmas in Nazareth

"Christmas in Nazareth" will be held from 1-9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, and Nazareth Borough will be offering free parking at downtown parking meters.

The day's features will include:

• Enjoy a live nativity with animals at Moravian Hall Square, make an ornament with C. F. Martin & Co. out of guitar sound holes at the Old Martin Homestead, and meet Santa Claus at the Memorial Library of Nazareth and Vicinity.

• Don’t miss tours of the rarely seen 1740 Gray Cottage at the Moravian Historical Society, romantic carriage rides of the historic district, a traditional LoveFeast and Putz at Nazareth Moravian Church, and a meet and greet with Vigilance Hose Co. No. 1 firefighters and engine.

• Holy Family Catholic Church and the Nazareth Center for the Arts will present Christmas programs.

• Stop by the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce’s new Nazareth office for refreshments.

• Enjoy seasonal music, crafts and other activities at Schisler Funeral Home, Herbs to Your Success, Nazareth Area Chamber of Commerce, and more locations.

Tickets -- $10 for adults, $5 for youth under 16 -- can be purchased at one of the following venues: Moravian Historical Society, Memorial Library of Nazareth and Vicinity, and Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Carriage rides and some activities may require an additional cost and/or wristband.

Night of Lights

Own a business or home in the Nazareth area? If you answered with a "yes," you're invited to help light up your town on Saturday, Dec. 15.

Christmas luminaries can be purchased for $10. Kits include:

• 10 luminaries
• Bags
• Sand
• Candles

Some of the proceeds will benefit local non-profit organizations, including the Nazareth Area Food Bank and the Loaves & Fishes Soup Kitchen.
