Community Projects Spruce Up Palmer

Boy Scouts, Beautification team lend a hand in cleaning debris.

Palmer Township is getting scrubbed clean.

Two recent projects have helped spruce up sections of the township.

Sophie and Nicholas Hamel needed to do a community project for their Scouts. So they planted decorative bushes and mulched the memorial bench of Amanda Schultz in Fairview Park with the help of the Palmer Township Public Works and Athletic Association.

The work was done near the soccer fields. Schultz was a soccer player in the township's sports program. Her father Mark is past president of the athletic association.

Meanwhile, the forested area in the 1800 block of Stones Crossing and Chain Dam roads were also spruced up and cleared of recyclables and debris.

Members of the Palmer Township Beautification Committee also cleared the bike path area from the post office to Fairview Park.
