EAGLE SCOUT at Age 15

Eagle Scout Court of Honor held Saturday, March 4th, 2017-1:00pm at the College Hill Presbyterian Church--501 Brodhead Street, Easton, PA.
Nicholas A. Hamel, is 15 years old. He successfully passed his Eagle Board of Review on December 12th, 2016. He is the 69th Eagle Scout from the Forks of the Delaware District, Minsi Trails Counsel.
For Nicholas' Eagle Scout Project, he rehabilitated 8 existing mile markers and installed 16 new mile markers on the Palmer Bike Trail—beginning at Riverview Park and ending at Tatamy (totaling 12 miles, 24 mile markers, every half mile). At the same time, Nicholas mapped the GPS coordinates of each mile marker and provided the information on a flash drive with hard copies to the Palmer Municipality, Palmer Fire Department, Palmer Police Department, and Suburban EMS.

At his Eagle Court of Honor, Nicholas was honored by State Representative Robert Freeman who presented Nicholas with a citation. Palmer Township Supervisor, Ann-Marie Panella presented a proclaimation to Nicholas and from Palmer Township Recreation, Tom Adams presented a congratulatory letter. In behalf of Palmer Director/Chief of Police, Larry Palmer, Mr. Adams presented and read Mr. Palmer's congratulatory letter to Nicholas.
