Easton High Principal's 3-Year-Old Son Drowns

The 3-year-old son of Easton Area High School Principal Michael Koch  drowned Wednesday in a backyard swimming pool in Bushkill Township, according to an Express-Times report.

The boy, who has been identified as Mason Koch, was taken to Easton Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Koch is the 11th- and 12th-grade principal at the school and his wife, Kelly, is a teacher at the high school.

According to a report published today, Mason Koch died from a pool accident where he climbed up a ladder on the family's pool and went in. 

Initial reports published by the Express-Times stated that the victim's name had not been released due to an ongoing coroner's investigation. Also, the cause of death had not been confirmed pending an autopsy.
