- Palmer Township Board of Supervisors will meet at 7pm Tuesday. The meeting will be in the meeting room of the Palmer Memorial Library.
- Forks Township Planning Commission will meet at 7pm Tuesday. The meeting will be at the municipal building, 1606 Sullivan Trail.
- The Easton Area School Board is looking to fill the recently vacated Region IIIÂ seat. Applications will be sought until Aug. 8.
- On this day in history, the first "test tube" baby was born in 1978. Louise Joy Brown was born in Manchester, England, weighing 5 pounds, 12 ounces, the first baby ever to be born by in vitro fertilization.
