Forks Township Men Charged with Stealing Cigarettes

Two Forks Township men have been charged for shoplifting more than $100 in cigarettes.

Two Forks Township men have been arrested and charged with retail theft and conspiracy after allegedly stealing more than $100 worth of cigarettes from a local supermarket.

Timothy Dixon, 20, and Cory Collins, 22 both of the 2500 block of Jeannette Lane, allegedly stole $154 worth of cigarette cartons from the Weis Market in Forks Township shortly before midnight on Saturday, Feb. 7, according to The Express-Times. Dixon reportedly stole the cigarettes while Collins stood as a lookout, The Express-Times said.

The two men fled the store in a red Dodge Caliber after a Weis employee spotted them, The Express-Times reported. Police later found the two men in the vehicle in question in a driveway on Jeannette Lane, the newspaper said.

Dixon and Collins were arraigned on charges of retail theft and conspiracy, according to The Express-Times. Dixon was held on $10,000 bond and Collins was transported to Northampton County Prison on $30,000 bail.
