Palmer BIP to Hold Golf Outing

Proceeds from event will go toward Miracle League Field construction

The Business, Industrial and Professional Association of Palmer Township will host a golf outing Monday to help raise funds for a miraculous ball field.

The fundraising event will be at 11am at the . Funds will go toward the construction of a baseball field by the .

has already donated the land for the field at the site on Green Pond Road. The field will be used for disabled and special needs children.  A is already under way to help construct the estimated $750,000 field.

The annual golf event already has paid for projects throughout the municipality such as the message sign at 25th and Northampton streets, the playground at the Charles Chrin Community Center and the newest project, the also at the community center.

In August, the Easton Rotary Club donated $100,000 to the toward the baseball field project. The hope is to have the ball field up and running in 2012.
