Palmer Recognizes Special Olympian

Special Olympian Craig Maurer received honors last night from the Palmer Township Board of Supervisors for his efforts at the recent 2011 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Athens, Greece.

Maurer won four medals -- one gold, two silver and a bronze -- in the categories of bench press, dead lift, squat lift and combination lift at the summer games held earlier this month.
