Palmer Zoning Board Debates First Star Bank Proposal

Bank wants to construct an electronic message board sign outside business.

It's now up to the Palmer Township Zoning Hearing Board to decide if a proposed electronic signage board can be placed outside the First Star Bank.

Board members will deliberate before voting on the proposed sign that exceeds the township’s 10-foot maximum allowable height for signs.

The bank is outside the Palmer Park Mall. The application has been on the agenda for some time now. Last month, the item was pulled after bank representatives could not appear before the board.

The bank is fairly new to the Park Avenue location. It officially opened its doors in January after relocating from Northwood Avenue.

The next board meeting has been scheduled for 7:30pm July 6 in the meeting room of the Palmer Memorial Library, 1 Weller Place.
