Sounds of Summer Concert, Scenic Bike Path are What's Up in Palmer-Forks Wednesday

This is what's happening around Palmer and Forks Townships on Wednesday.

Good morning everyone! It's a new day in Forks and Palmer Townships and here's some things going for you to know about in our new feature that we will showcase every Tuesday through Friday.

First, the forecast:

  • No more heat wave. On Wednesday, we can enjoy mostly sunny skies and a high of 83, according to the National Weather Service. At night, it will be mostly clear with a low of 52. Check out the forecast for the rest of the week.
  • Desire, a Doo-Wop band, plays the third show in the Forks Township Sounds of Summer concert series. The show is at the Community Park amphitheater and begins at 6:30 p.m. Find out what other concerts are taking place this summer.
  • Ride, run or walk on the bike path that goes through Palmer and Forks Townships. It's great exercise and very scenic. Here are some photos from the Palmer Beautification Committee.
  • Hooked on Books is offering a book sale through the end of July. Find some summer reading at the Sullivan Trail shop in Forks Township.
