Aqua PA Purchases Phoenixville-Area Water Systems For $3.5M

Aqua Pennsylvania has officially purchased the municipal water systems in Upper Providence, Schuylkill, and East Pikeland.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Aqua Pennsylvania has officially purchased several municipal water systems in the Phoenixville area for $3.5 million, they announced Wednesday.

The purchase includes Upper Providence, Schuylkill, and East Pikeland.

“We are excited to expand our services in an area where we serve water to an adjacent municipality, which is also home to our largest surface water plant,” Aqua Pennsylvania President Marc Lucca said in a statement.

A total of 535 customer connections are included in the purchase, which covers parts of both Montgomery and Chester counties.

Aqua Pennsylvania said they also plan to purchase Cheltenham Township's wastewater system, which includes 10,200 connections, in the near future.
