Baseball+Fireworks=All American Fun
Church group outing is great family fun at FirstEnergy Stadium with baseball, fireworks, and live music.
The weather was absolutely perfect Saturday night, August 5th, for baseball and fireworks. Clear skies and a 75 degree temperature set the scene for Harry Potter Night at FirstEnergy Stadium in Reading. A group from First Presbyterian Church (FPC) of Phoenixville converged on the stadium with their friends and families to watch the Fightin' Phils beat the Akron RubberDucks, 4-2. The Phils wore special Harry Potter jerseys and some stadium staff and attendees joined in the cosplaying. In between inning antics, from the hot dog toss to the veggie race and more, provided light-hearted fun to the competitiveness of the game. Topping off the night was the largest firework display the stadium has ever produced. The booms, crackles, and pops fired off with Harry Potter themed music playing in the background. The entertainment didn't stop there. A post-game concert took place in the concourse as spectators strolled out of the stadium. It was a great way to top off a great evening!
