Chesco Woman Killed Man, Burned Body In 2017: Philly Police

A Chester County woman is accused of stabbing a man to death then burning his body in Philadelphia back in September 2017, police said.

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — A Chester County woman is facing murder, arson, and more charges in connection with a 2017 killing in Philadelphia, authorities said.

Philadelphia Police announced Cheyenn Hurt, 24, of West Chester, has been charged with murder, unlawful restraint, criminal conspiracy, possessing instruments of crime, causing-risking a catastrophe, criminal trespass, tamper with evidence, burglary, and arson.

Hurt is accused of killing Rephael Brandon Swan, 29, on Sept. 9 at a home on the 7500 block of Overbrook Street, police said.

Officers were called to the area for a homicide and found Swan the basement stabbed multiple times and burned.

Hurt was arrested by Philadelphia Police at about 6:30 a.m.on Friday, Aug. 16 at 1801 North Hill Drive, Norristown.

She has been denied bail and was remanded to the Riverside Correctional Facility, court records show.

A preliminary hearing has been set for Sept. 4, according to court documents.
