Chester County Girl Named Gatorade XC Runner Of The Year
Congratulations to Chester County's Aislinn Devlin!

A Chester County girl has been named the Gatorade Girls Cross Country Runner of the Year for Pennsyvlania.
Aislinn Devlin of Downingtown West earned the distinction for the second straight year after another powerhouse season last fall, during which she won both the PA District 1 and PIAA state cross country titles. She then went on to win the Nike Cross Nationals Northeast Regional championships.
During the year she also earned titles at the Ches-Mont League championships and the Cherokee Challenge in New Jersey.

Devlin, who has a 4.34 weighted GPA, has committed to Harvard University, where she will compete in both cross country and track and field.
According to their website, "the Gatorade Player of the Year award was established in 1985 to recognize the nation’s most elite high school student-athletes for their athletic excellence, academic achievement and exemplary character."
