Chester County To Receive $100K From State To Protect Local Waterways
In case you missed this story from last week: Chester County will receive $100K from the state to protect local waterways.

State Sen. Andy Dinniman announced Thursday that Chester County will receive $100,000 from the state to protect local waterways.
The grants are from the Riparian Buffer Program, which is administered by the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR).
“Forested riparian buffers continue to make a difference in keeping our streams clean and our drinking water safe,” Dinniman said in a statement. “This grant funding will go a long way in promoting the use of such buffers to protect our environment by helping prevent storm water runoff and flooding issues.”

The money will be split between the Natural Lands Trust and Land Conservancy of Lower Chester County, according to the state. Each organization will grow 20 acres of forest buffers surrounding local waterways.
