Chester County Woman, 20, Killed In Bus Accident
A 20-year-old college student and Chester County native was killed in a bus accident over the weekend,

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — A Chester County native and senior at the University of Pittsburgh was killed when she was hit by a bus over the weekend.
Barbara Como, of Chester Springs, was just 20, and was set to graduate this spring after only three years of study. She was a 2017 graduate of Downingtown High School.
The incident occurred near the University of Pittsburgh campus at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18.

Como was walking near De Soto Street and Fifth Avenue when she was struck by a Port Authority of Pittsburgh bus, according to an incident report from the Pittsburgh Police Department. She was transported to Presbyterian Hospital in serious condition, and died shortly thereafter.
Como was a hard working academic who majored in psychology and anthropology, according to a statement from the University of Pittsburgh's Psychology department.

"She was a bright student with ambitions to become a researcher," the statement read. "We are sad to hear of her tragic passing and wish the Como family peace and comfort in the days to come."
She was also working as a research assistant with the school's Learning Research and Development Center.
The Pittsburgh Police Department and Port Authority Police are investigating the accident.
