Chester County ZIP Codes With Most Coronavirus Cases

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Chester County has nearly 1,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus, according to new data released by the state Monday that shows specific cases by ZIP code.

It should be noted, this data is distinct from the numbers released by the county on the municipal level. These numbers show cases by zip codes which, in many cases, cover larger and different geographical regions than the municipality indicated, providing another way of looking at how the virus has spread in the local area.

In Chester County, the ZIP codes with the highest number of cases include 19382 (West Chester), 19320 (Coatesville), and 19087 (Wayne), the data shows.

The numbers below also include a few zip codes that are primarily contained in other counties, like Montgomery, but which overlap into Chester. The zip codes of some bordering areas, like Royersford, Mont Clare, and Pottstown, are also included in this list.

Chester County has managed to avoid the brunt of the virus, at least compared to some of its neighbors. Philadelphia and Montgomery County have been especially hard hit.

Local hospitals have been able to keep pace, with 64 I.C.U. beds available in Chester County as of Tuesday, data from the state shows.
