Chester County's Country Spirit USA Postponed Due To Coronavirus
Organizers had maintained hope that the festival, which drew 20,000 people last year, could go on as planned.
CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Chester County's country music festival will not take place as scheduled in 2020 due to coronavirus, organizers said.
Citadel Country Spirit USA, a three-day festival at Ludwig's Corner Horse Show Grounds, had been scheduled for Aug. 27 to Aug. 29. Until recently, organizers had maintained hope that the festival, would be able to be held. However, even as Chester County moves to the yellow phase of the state's graduated reopening plan, health concerns will not allow it.
"Our festivals are not social-distancing-oriented events," Alan Jacoby, executive producer of Impact Entertainment, said in a statement. "They are thousands and thousands of like-minded country music fans coming together for a big celebration. While disappointing for this year, we’re committed to producing a phenomenal fest in 2021."

Around 20,000 people attended the 2019 festival.
“Of course, our utmost concern is for the safety of our community, festival attendees and staff,” Susan Hamley, executive director of the Chester County Visitors Bureau, said in a statement. “It’s wonderful to know that the festival is returning in 2021. There is certainly demand and will be even more so when we can all come together for the excitement, merriment, and uplifting energy of Citadel Country Spirit USA."
