Here Are The Concerts Coming To Colonial Theatre In Early 2019
From Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Roger McGuinn to comedians and more, here's what's on tap at the Colonial this year.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Several exciting shows and concerts are coming up at the Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville over the next few months.
From Mr. Tambourine Man to a comedian who does some of the best impressions you've ever heard, here's what's coming to the Steel City this year.
Feb. 2: Loudon Wainwright III and Susan Werner
Singer-songwriter Loudon Wainwright III will be joined by folk-jazz-pop performer Susan Werner at the Colonial on Saturday, Feb. 22.

As the Theatre notes, "(Wainwright's) songs are known for their droll wit and wry observations on life, carving out a unique niche for himself in the music and humor domains. He has gone on to have a long career as a Grammy-winning recording artist, actor and humorist. He is also notable for being the father of singer/ songwriters, Rufus Wainwright, Martha Wainwright and Lucy Wainwright Roche."

March 22: Delbert McClinton
Per the Colonial: "Multi-Grammy Award winner and Texas roadhouse rocker Delbert McClinton has been a leading Americana artist since before the genre was even established. An American treasure, his music defies classification blending his Texas roots with roadhouse rock, juke-joint blues, Memphis soul and country. It’s exciting to have Delbert returning to the Colonial."

March 23: Two Funny Philly Guys
Comedian and famed impersonator Joe Conklin will be in town on Saturday, March 23. The WIP-host has given incredible impressions for decades of local sports icons to national figures, ranging from Charles Barkley to Bill Clinton.

March 28: The Yardbirds
On Thursday, March 28, the Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page-launching Yardbirds will be in town. Hits include "For Your Love," "I'm a Man," and many more.
"It was the band’s experimental explorations that also provided the crucial link between British R&B, Psychedelic Rock, and Heavy Metal, while pioneering the use of innovations like fuzz tone, feedback and distortion," the Colonial notes in their event description.

April 25: Roger McGuinn
Frontman of The Byrds and a innovative rock and roll icon Roger McGuinn will be in town on Thursday, April 25.
"As the leader of the influential 60s group, The Byrds, he was on the leading edge, combining the rock beat of the Beatles with the folk sensibilities of Bob Dylan, to create the genre known as “folk-rock."
