Golf Outing Will Be An Annual Fundraiser For Phoenixville FD

Registration filled up fast for the newest department fundraiser.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — The Phoenixville Fire Department is holding its first ever Golf Outing Fundraiser Sept. 3 at the Kimberton Golf Club and registration was already full Aug. 11.

Phoenixville Fire Department announced that all foursome spots were full and registration closed on Aug. 11. The outing begins with a shotgun start at 162 Ridge Road, Phoenixville at 11 a.m. Sept. 3.

The Phoenixville Fire Department is a multi-service department that provides fire and rescue services to Phoenixville Borough and surrounding communities.

The Department is funded from a mixture of tax monies, grants and equipment from local, county, state and federal government, and donations from the community. All fundraising and administrative functions are performed by volunteers. The Department is always looking for volunteers to help as Firefighters, Fire Police or with administration, fundraising and public relations.

The Department is staffed by a combination of career and volunteer firefighters operating out of the Phoenix Hose, Hook & Ladder Co., No. 1 on Church Street. The Phoenix Hose, Hook & Ladder Co. was established in 1874 and is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization with a Board of Directors made up of Firefighters and Community representatives.
