The speed limit on U.S. 422 has been reduced to 45 miles per hour on the entire westbound stretch, officials said.

Eastbound, the speed limit has been dropped to 45 between State Route 222 and the U.S. 202 south exit for Swedesford Road.

Similar reductions to 45 miles per hour are in place elsewhere in the region, such as on portions of PA Route 309.
