Longtime Phoenixville Area Man, Assistant Boy Scout Troop Leader, Passes At 56
David Bauer was a proud Eagle Scout, assistant Troop Leader, and 3rd degree black belt who lived his life by the code of martial arts.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- David D. Bauer, age 56, of Royersford, PA, formerly of Phoenixville, PA died suddenly of natural causes, on Saturday, September 30, 2017 in his home. Born on September 2, 1961 in Bryn Mawr, PA, he was a son of the late Dale and Marylois (Yowell) Bauer. He was a graduate of Phoenixville Vo-Tech School. David worked in the landscaping business in the Phoenixville area for many years. He was a member of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Royersford. He was also a member of the Boy Scouts of America, Troop #49 of Kimberton, PA. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He was a member of the Vigil Honor of the Order of Arrow. He was an assistant leader of Troop #406 in Royersford. He was a member of Vaughn's Dojang, located in Audubon for over 30 years. He rose to the rank of 3dr degree Black Belt. David truly loved the martial arts, and lived by the codes and tenants of the WTSDA.
David is survived by Three Sisters, Judith L. Carroll of Easton, CT, Nancy B., wife of Roger Ritchey of Harleysville, PA, Jamie A., wife of Christopher Billy of Bethlehem, PA; Nieces and Nephews, Emily, Meredith, Tyler, Blake, Erin; Two Great Nieces and One Great Nephew, David was pre-deceased by Sister, Deborah L. Milillo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Ceremony at the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Main Street at Sixth Avenue, Royersford, PA on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 10:30 am. Officiating will be Rev. Janelle L. Krais. Burial will be held in the Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer, PA. Friends will be received from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday evening at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA or from 9:15 - 10:15 am Thursday morning at the Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to "Vaughn's Dojang, WTSD, Special Dragons Scholarship Fund", 2808 Audubon Village Drive, Audubon Shopping Center, Audubon, PA 19403.
