What does it take to be loved forever?  That’s what Penelope is wondering.  She sure gave it all she had.  This tiny 15-pound beagle mix was a happy camper with her family for five years – when they decided they didn’t have time for her anymore. Imagine! 

Penelope was understandably dejected about this confusing turn in her life when she arrived at Francisvale Home for Smaller Animals in Radnor. Where are the kids and my buddy the cat?  At first she didn’t have much appetite and whimpered and whined. But what a little loving care will do! Penelope quickly decided this was going to be okay. 

Cute as anything, sweet as you could ever want, this little girl is a pure pushover, rolling on her back with delight the minute you give her some attention.  She’s totally submissive and affectionate, and has a cheery, playful spirit. For her, playing with kids and cats is just the best fun ever. (Other dogs, not so much).  

Penelope is totally at ease and confident now, snuggling and resting happily in any lap she can find. What she’s dreaming of in those snoozy lap naps is a home that lasts-- where her loving presence counts for the happy gift it is.  Is she dreaming about you?
