Phoenixville Area Pool Team Headed To Las Vegas For World Championships

The Phoenixville-based pool team is headed to Las Vegas for the 2017 World Championships next month.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — A Phoenixville-based pool team is headed to Las Vegas for the 2017 World Championships next month.

The team, "Problem Child," are members of the American Poolplayers Association. They participate in a weekly league at an area establishment, Gallagher's Tavern in Spring City.

Team members include: Dan Green, Nicholas Shumate, Anthony Gertenitch, Guillermo Constanza, Ralph Valenteen, Jr., Chris Noecker, Vicky Kaminsky, and Laura Baker.

More than 700 teams will vie for the world title at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino, from Aug. 14 through 19.

More than $1 million in prize money will be disbursed.
