Phoenixville Bars, Restaurants Expand Offerings In Green Phase

Nightlife in Phoenixville is not wasting any time in trying to get back to normal.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Nightlife in Phoenixville is not wasting any time in trying to get back to normal, as Chester County moves to the green phase of coronavirus mitigation on Friay.

PJ Ryan's Pub offered indoor bar service starting at 12:01 a.m. on Friday — the moment the county officially moved to green — until 2 a.m. Seating is spaced at the bar and and indoor tables to allow for social distancing, the establishment said.

They're open from midnight to 2 a.m. for both indoor and outdoor patio dining, Friday through Sunday.

The borough will continue to shut down stretches of Bridge Street from Thursday through Sunday to accomodate outdoor dining and shopping on the sidewalks and street. Whether indoors or out, customers must wear masks unless they are seated at their table.

The closures are in place from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. each Thursday, and 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays through Sundays. No vehicular traffic is allowed on Bridge from Starr Street down to Gay Street, while Main Street remains open. The Main and Bridge parking lot is also shut down.

Here's a glance at how some establishments in Phoenixville are preparing for the transition to the green phase. Many have not yet formally announced a change from their services during the yellow phase. Customers should stay tuned as businesses begin to expand their offerings:

Bistro on Bridge

Bistro on Bridge will be opening up indoor dining and drinking at 50 percent capacity. The roof deck and sidewalk seating will remain available, as well.

Root Down Brewing

Root Down Brewing will be open from noon to 10 p.m. on Friday, and will operate at 50 percent capacity.

"Please be patient, as this will be new to us all and we will do our best make things as easy as possible," Root Down said in a statement. "No worries, we have plenty of room to distance and safely serve you! First come, first serve...No reservations. Please wear a mask at all times, except when seated with your party...Table service only."

Steel City Coffeehouse

Steel City now has their first concert on their schedule since the outbreak: a free show with Wake Up John on Saturday, July 11. Their open mic night is back starting July 2. In the meantime, they're also moving to seating their indoor tables up to 50 percent occupancy. Occupancy will constantly monitored, and all tables will be six feet apart. At peak hours, customers will be permitted to stay at their table for 45 minutes after their food arrives.

Root Down Biergarten/Uncle B's BBQ

The biergarten is open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with deck dining available from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Great American Pub

Great American's large outdoor areas will remain open, while its bar areas and small dining rooms downstairs with open doors will also open up at 50 percent capacity.

Sedona

Dining room will open at 50 percent capacity on Friday at 11 a.m. Their patio remains open.

Avlos Greek Cuisine

On Friday, Avlos is opening the front portion of the inside of their restaurant to 25 percent of capacity. Eventually, they plan on moving that to the maximum allowed of 50 percent capacity, over the next few weeks.

Iron Hill

Iron Hill is open from noon to 8 p.m. for both indoor and outdoor dining.

Bluebird Distilling

Sidewalk and street seating and cocktails are available. An expanded outdoor dining space, including a new pergola, will be available soon.

Stable 12

Stable 12's beer garden open is open as usual. They have not announced an opening of their taproom.

Vintner's Table

Outdoor seating is available at Vintner's from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Crowded Castle Brewing Company

Crowded Castle has street and sidewalk seating available from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Rec Room by Conshohocken Brewing

Outoor seating is open from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Pickering Creek Inn

The Pick continues to offer seating on their patio from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., Tuesday through Sunday.

Molly Maguire's

Molly Maguire's is open from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. for outdoor seating.

Black Walnut Winery

The winery is continuing to offer seating at two tables on the sidewalk and street. They are not accepting reservations. Hours are noon to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday an Friday, noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
