Phoenixville Boys Basketball Wins Wildwood Tourney
Congratulations to the Phoenixville High School boys basketball team!

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- Posing before the iconic "Wildwood" block letters with the Atlantic Ocean roaring behind them, the Phoenixville High School boys basketball team was all smiles.
The team won the Jack Buchanan Bracket at the Boardwalk Basketball Classic in Wildwood, New Jersey on New Years Eve. They soundly defeated McKee/Staten Island Tech from New York, 75-61, to take home the tourney victory.
Phoenixville made it to the championship game after defeating Ocean City, 60-57, last Friday.

Shyheim Abernathy led the team with 30 points and five rebounds. Avery Close added 22 points and three rebounds in the win, game statistics show.
The boys built a solid lead early, and added on to it steadily throughout the game, outscoring Mckee by five points in the first two quarters and four in the third, before tying in the fourth.

The 6-2 Phantoms face off against Pottsgrove on Tuesday night at 6:45 p.m.
