PHOENIXVILLE, PA — The debate over the Philadelphia region's top cheesesteak is neverending.

But Philadelphia Magazine has curated a list of the "30 Cheesesteaks to Eat Before You Die," and a Phoenixville spot made the list.

Hog Island, located on 785 Starr Street, found itself in good company beside some of the region's top eateries.

Here's what PhillyMag has to say about Hog Island:

"The menu offers a thousand sandwiches, banking on the history of Hog Island and its tie to the “hoggie.” But the cheesesteak? It gets its own special section, with more than a dozen varieties centered on fresh beef, chopped, thrown on the grill, and turned into a hot-sandwich beauty mixed up with American cheese. There’s also a loaded option with mushrooms, peppers and onions, which tastes like a good version of all the completely wrong “Philly-style” cheesesteaks done everywhere else."

While the list features longtime favorites (John's Roast Pork, Dalessandro's, Donkey's), it also features some of the more...controversial locations such as Geno's and Pat's.

It even has non-traditional steaks, such as a spicy Indian steak at Little Sicily II, a sweet and spicy Korean steak at Pastrami and Things, and Spot Burger's Philly-Camden-Pittsburgh hybrid steak.
