Phoenixville Man, Wrestler, 'Life Of The Party,' Passes At 56
Phoenixville's Wornell Clayburn, a star wrestler in high school who was always remembered as the "life of the party" has passed away at 56.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Wornell E. Clayburn, age 56, husband of R. Ivy (Green) Clayburn, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 in the Phoenixville Hospital. Born on January 1, 1961 in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Ernest and Roxie (Heck) Clayburn, and was preceded in death also by his second Mom, Aunt Peggy.

Mr. Clayburn was a graduate of Northern Chester County Technical High School, and during his time there, he excelled in wrestling. He worked as a truck driver, and recently started working with his sister at Clayburn Medical Billing. Always the life of the party, he loved life, making people laugh, spending time with his many friends and relatives, and any outdoor activity he could find.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Clayburn is survived by one son, Marquis Allen of Pottstown, PA; two sisters, Gay Rogers of Phoenixville, PA and Margaret Clayburn of Media, PA; two nieces, Ardell Rogers and Roxie Rogers; four great nieces and one great-nephew; six sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc, 610 South Main Street, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 11:00 am. Friends will be received from 9:00 am - 11:00 am Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Fox Chase Cancer Center, 333 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111.
