Phoenixville Marching Band Boosters Director Dies At 53
Mark Charles Baumann-Erb was a devoted volunteer and active member of the Phoenixville area community.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Mark Charles Baumann-Erb, the director of operations for the Phoenixville High School Marching Band Boosters and an active member of the local community, died suddenly at the age of 53 on Monday, Oct. 7.
Mark's death reverberated through the area, as a he was a devoted volunteer and worker not only for the marching band, where he coordinated band functions, but also as a trooper leader for the Boy Scouts.
"Outside of work, Mark was a multi-faceted and dynamic person who had many interests and hobbies some of which included home brewing, cooking, baking, many home improvement projects inside and out, watching sports, photography and traveling," his obituary states. "Mark was always extremely engaged in everything he participated in. "

"We are saddened and shocked to hear of the sudden passing of Mark earlier this week," Phoenixville Phantom Bands said in a statement. "Please keep his family in your thoughts through the coming days and weeks."
A service for friends will be held on Sunday, Oct. 13 at R. Strunk Funeral Home from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
