Phoenixville Native Amy Bokker Named Ohio State Lacrosse Coach
A Phoenixville native, lauded as one of the top lacrosse coaches in the nation, is taking on a new position at Ohio State University.
PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Phoenixville native Amy Bokker taking on a new position as head coach of women's lacrosse at Ohio State University.
Bokker has been the head Stanford coach for 11 seasons, where she led the university to six conference titles and eight NCAA tournament appearances.
At Phoenixville, Bokker was a three-sport star, excelling in lacrosse, field hockey, and swimming. She went on compete in Division I at William and Mary in both lacrosse and field hockey, before embarking on her coaching career.

Ohio State praised Bokker's track record, pointing to her overall 245-61 record as a head coach between Stanford, George Mason, and American, as well as her work as an assistant coach for the U.S. National Team.
"It is an exciting time for Buckeye lacrosse and good things are happening for Ohio State. Amy is the leader for us," Janine Oman, deputy director of athletics, said in Ohio State's announcement.

Bokker has a master's degree in exercise, fitness, and health promotion from George Mason.
