Phoenixville Salon Makes Donation to Get Well Gabby Foundation
Salon Fiber donated more than $1,000 to the children's brain cancer organization.

The following was provided to Patch:
Salon Fiber of Phoenixville on Oct. 11 presented a check totaling $1,005 to John and Carolynn Vogel of the Get Well Gabby Foundation, a children’s brain cancer organization founded in 2011 in memory of their daughter, Gabby Vogel. Gabby was only 5 years old when she lost her battle to an explosively aggressive, malignant brain tumor called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG).
Salon Fiber owner Maura Mulligan presented the check to the foundation on behalf of the Phoenixville community who attended Cuts for a Cure with Salon Fiber on Aug. 24, an event that provided complimentary children’s haircuts and raised money exclusively for the Get Well Gabby Foundation.

“I’m grateful that Cuts for a Cure provided an opportunity to raise money for childhood cancer research through the Get Well Gabby Foundation,” Mulligan said. “We will continue to support such an important cause that so deeply touched the hearts of the Phoenixville community.”
The Get Well Gabby Foundation was formed to fight with passion and courage while finding a cure for pediatric cancer. The organization not only funds research efforts but also provides resources for families navigating the cancer world so they may stay with their child during their difficult journey.
