UPDATE: Snow Emergency Declared In Phoenixville
UPDATE: here's a list of what's been cancelled, how the storm could impact the borough, where every local fire hydrant is, and more.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- With more than a foot of snow possibly hitting the area tonight into tomorrow morning, a formal snow emergency has been decalred in Phoenixville.
The emergency will go into effect at 4 p.m. on Monday and will last until 2 p.m. Tuesday.
All cars should be moved off of snow emergency routes before the end of the night. Any cars that are not moved will be ticketed and towed, officials said.

The following are designated as snow emergency routes: Bridge Street from Pothouse Road to the Schuylkill River; Church Street from Bridge Street to Starr Street; Dayton Street from Emmett Street to Freemont Street; Emmett Street from Franklin Avenue to Dayton Street; Franklin Avenue from Gay Street to Emmett Street; Gay Street from the southern Borough boundary to Franklin Avenue; Main Street (Rt. 29) from the southern Borough boundary to Nutt Road; Main Street from Nutt Road to Bridge Street; Manavon Street from Nutt Road to Starr Street; Nutt Road from the eastern Borough boundary to the western Borough boundary; and Starr Street from Nutt Road to Bridge Street. Please remember your responsibility as a property owner or occupant. Snow Removal - Sidewalks must be cleared of snow and ice within 24 hours of the last snow fall or ice form.
Parking in borough lots is free for the duration of the emergency.

Trash pickup has been cancelled, and all trash will be picked up on Saturday.
Tuesday's scheduled borough council meeting has been cancelled, and shifted to Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
The Phoenixville Regional Chamber of Commerce's Monthly Membership Meeting has also been cancelled.
Want to be a Good Samaritan? When the snow comes tonight and tomorrow, borough Councilman Michael Kuznar has provided a list of every fire hydrant across Phoenixville that will need to be dug out.






"St. Ann's Church on Church Street in Phoenixville is providing shelter for anyone that needs it from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.," Kuznar added.
St. Ann's is located on 502 Main Street.

No local school closings have yet been confirmed, as of early Monday afternoon.
