Phoenixville's 4th Of July 2020 Fireworks Canceled
Phoenixville's traditional Fourth of July fireworks celebration will not be held this year due to coronavirus concerns.
PHOENIXVILLE, PA – July 4 events across the country will not look the same this year thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and towns have been forced to cancel their Fourth of July events, including Phoenixville.
The popular annual event is typically held on Friendship Field. The decision was made back in May.
Fireworks celebrations throughout the area have been canceled, including events in neighboring Norristown and Lower Providence.

Longwood Gardens also canceled all fireworks shows, along with their ticketed concerts and Wine and Jazz Festival.
Nearby, Pottstown has taken a slightly different tactic, choosing not to cancel their Go Fourth celebration and fireworks, but instead postpone the event until September.
