Phoenixville's Majolica To Close In December

One of the area's most beloved BYOB restaurants has announced an official closing date.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — One of the area's most beloved BYOB restaurants has announced an official end date.

Majolica, long located on 258 Bridge Street in the heart of town, will close for good on Dec. 7.

That date will mark the 15 year anniversary of when the restaurant opened, back on Dec. 7, 2004.

Chef Andrew Deery said in an announcement that he's looking forward to moving into the "next phase of my personal and professional life."

"The life of a restaurant, particularly one as small and personal as Majolica, is usually fraught with many ups and downs," Deery wrote. "But I can say unequivocally that this restaurant's life span has seen more than its fair share of ups."

Majolica is open Wednesday through Sunday, with seatings from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
