Phoenixville's Steel City Innovates Again, Launches New Menu

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Steel City, Phoenixville's popular coffeehouse and brewery, is continuing to innovate.

The cafe has never gotten too comfortable as just one thing. It's not just a cafe with coffee and tea, it's a cafe with live music and open mic nights. And it's not just a venue with snacks and beverages, it's a brewery, too.

Now, Steel City is launching is entirely new menu, much of which will pair with their rotating list of beers.

“We realize that we needed to encourage our team to bring creative dishes to the table for us to taste, in order to keep them engaged and involved in our growth," owner Laura Vernola said. "Dishes were selected on taste, presentation, production cost, prep time and the ability to source locally. We are very happy with the outcome."

Some unique additions to the new menu include a vegan breakfast bowl, Mexican street corn salad with cilantro and queso fresco, a locally sourced kielbasa canapé, and ham and cheese tea sandwiches.

There will also be numerous vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options added to the menu. And a board outside the kitchen will indicate weekly seasonal specials.
