A hazardous weather outlook, followed by a special weather statement was issued at around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The NWS called possible precipitation a "light wintry mix."

"A light wintry mix of precipitation is possible late tonight into early Monday morning across portions of southeastern Pennsylvania and northwestern New Jersey. If the precipitation moves in before day break, slippery conditions could develop leading to hazardous driving conditions for the Monday morning commute. If confidence increases, a winter weather advisory may be issued."

Drivers should remain alert Sunday night and into the Monday morning commute.
