Valley Forge Casino Officially Reopens
Guests will go through a health screening upon arrival at the casino. Masks are "encouraged," officials said.

VALLEY FORGE, PA — Green means go for countless major businesses around Montgomery and Chester counties that have been shut down for months amid the coronavirus crisis.
That includes Valley Forge Casino, which will officially reopen its doors at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 26 as the county moves into the least restrictive phase of Gov. Wolf's reopening plan.
Much like the King of Prussia Mall and other major businesses and entertainment venues, life at the Valley Forge Casino will be quite different in a post-pandemic world.

All guests are "encouraged, but not required, to wear face masks, Boyd Gaming, the owner of the Casino said. In addition, all guests will go through a "health screening" upon arrival. Boyd did not specify what that screening would involve.

The Casino laid off 539 employees in May, according to a WARN notice from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. The layoffs, effective July 1 through July 14, were expected to be temporary due to the pandemic.
Seating will be limited at slots an table games, and bar and restaurant seating has been arranged to allow for social distancing, they added.
Hand sanitizer stations are available for all guests. The public areas will be routinely cleaned, including high-touch sufaces like slot machines, chairs, table games, restaurants, kitchens, restrooms, doors, handrails, counters, ATMs, kiosks, and more.
The Casino also has a few concerts already on the schedule at the casino, with the first set to take place on Aug. 1. Tickets are on sale for 7800 Fahrenheit: A Tribute to Classic Bon Jovi.
