What's open and closed on the upcoming Veterans Day?

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Veterans Day, Nov. 11, falls on a Saturday this year, but some services will observe the holiday on Friday. Many will head to work and school anyway, but some government offices and other services will take a break for the holiday.

Here are the openings/closings to be aware of on Friday, Nov. 10 and Saturday, Nov. 11.

Phoenixville Borough Hall: closed on Friday.

Phoenixville Public Library: open.

Chester County Library system: open.

Brandywine Valley SPCA: open regular hours.

Pennsylvania state government offices will be closed Friday.

SEPTA will be operating on a normal schedule on Friday and Saturday.

Pennsylvania State Liquor Stores: all stores will observe standard operating hours on both Friday and Saturday.

Recreation and Arts Centers: open.

Trash and recycling: regular schedule.
