The playground project, organized by Phoenixville Jaycees and Phoenixville Kiwanis, has received broad support and funding in recent years. Earlier this spring, the project was awarded a $25,000 state grant. At that time, however, a significant portion of the needed $400,000 for the project still had to be raised.
