WATCH: Nurses Cheer Coronavirus Patient At Phoenixville Hospital

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Hospitalized patients and healthcare workers in hospitals are accustomed to grim reality and suffering. They face it every day, and tenfold as coronavirus has swelled patient populations in facilities around the world.

But they're also privy to moments of quiet but profound triumph.

One such moment was captured at Phoenixville Hospital on Wednesday when a patient who had been hospitalized for weeks was finally able to walk free.

The patient, a man named Corey, was originally diagnosed and treated at Chestnut Hill Hospital. He was then transferred to Phoenixville Hospital, where he underwent 14 days of "intensive therapy," the hospital said.

On Wednesday, Corey walked through a line of cheering hospital employees with the help of a walker. Taped to the front of the walker was a sign: "COVID'S TOUGH BUT COREY'S TOUGHER."
