Just how hot is it going to get in the Philadelphia area this weekend?

Temperatures are expected to rise into the mid-90's on both Saturday and Sunday, despite the predicted thunderstorms and the potential rain.

Heat advisories and warnings have been issued in Chester and Montgomery counties and throughout much of the region during the week, and they are likely this weekend as well.

On Saturday, showers and thunderstorms could come in the afternoon, but mostly sunny skies will prevail, with a predicted high of 94, according to the National Weather Service.

A similar weather is predicted on Sunday, with the same high and the same time range for a possible brief storm.
