PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Christmas is just a few short days away. It's a day off for just about everyone, including the folks who keep the municipality running. Monday, Dec. 25 is a city, state and federal holiday, so just about every government building will be closed.

Many stores, restaurants and movie theaters will be open in case you need to pick something up or get out of your apartment for a few hours.

• Phoenixville borough offices are closed
• Chester County offices and courthouses are closed
• Pennsylvania state offices are closed
• All federal offices are closed

Colonial Theatre

The theatre is open, with four films showing: "Darkest Hour" at 4:45 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., "The Shape of Water" at 4:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m., "The Disaster Artist" at 4:30 p.m., and "It's a Wonderful Life" at 7 p.m.

Schools

Regional Rail will operate on a special holiday schedule on Christmas Day. There will also be late night service on Christmas Eve following the Eagles home game.
